The Bible Talks :: Mayfair
Women's Ministry
Women's Brunch
On a Saturday morning once or twice a term we get together to think through issues that Christian Women at TBT might reasonably be expected to face as they live and work in central London. The format is usually a mid morning breakfast, followed by a talk / presentation and discussion in groups. The mornings are open to all women regardless of how long you have been at TBT or a Christian - although the talk will be from a clearly Christian perspective. In the past year topics have included training in reading one to one with other Christians, stewardship of time & money, relationships and balancing the demands of life in London.
TOAST
This is a bi-monthly meeting for the older (but still not very old!!) women at TBT and aims to provide the kind of support that women with a little more experience of life, work and living as a Christian might find helpful. It is an opportunity for us to support one another as we pray together and think through various issues. It is also an opportunity to think through how as older women we might serve the younger women at TBT. These meetings take place on Wednesday evenings in a different TBT home each time, and include supper!! For more information please contact Annelies Sellheim.
One To One Bible Study
Many women at TBT meet informally in pairs to study the Bible together. Usually an older Christian will meet to read with a younger Christian. It is a chance to read parts of the Bible that don’t get tackled in our small groups, or that you would feel daunted tackling on your own, and is a great opportunity to ask all those burning questions that you never seem to ask on any other occasion. Alternatively there are Bible study booklets that you can work through together or other Christian books you can read and discuss. If you would like to be linked up with someone to read with, or would like more information contact Carrie Sandom.
Prayer Triplets
These are a great way to build up friendships, support one another, and receive the accountability that we all need to persevere in the Christian walk. Contact Catherine Baird if you would like to be in a prayer triplet.
