Praying for eight million people can seem a daunting prospect for even the most active prayer warriors.
But in our capital city there are at least eight million people who do not claim Christ as their Lord and Saviour. We need to be praying for God to intervene in their lives and save them from hell for heaven. But how can we pray for the lost of London when actually we have trouble praying at all?
In this edition of ARTICLES we go back to basics. What is prayer? How can I pray? What does the Bible say about prayer? What do we do if God doesn’t answer prayers the way we want? What if he doesn’t answer them at all?
Throughout the magazine we will also hear ordinary stories of prayer – praying for children’s friends, praying for a church to grow, praying for Co-Mission’s mission in London.
Amongst the eight million is our friend, our neighbour, our colleague and our family member. If we can reignite our passion for prayer, we can cover this city with a cry to our good and powerful God to bring people to him, so that they may know Him as their Father for eternity. We hope this edition of ARTICLES will help you (re)ignite a passion for praying – for yourself, and for the eight million.
