This is London
9 million people.
Night-shift cleaners, blue-sky dreamers. Top-floor suits, steel toe-capped boots.
Every race, culture, religion under the sun, squeezed into this grey-skies, high-rise, street-wise city.
But so many living in spiritual darkness. Lost. Hopeless.
From Balham to Becontree, Catford to Kingston. Countless millions who don’t know Jesus.
But we’re not without hope, Because we’ve got a great God And a great gospel to proclaim.
And that’s what we’re about as Co-Mission. We’re a network, a family, a movement –
A mission to reach the lost.
Who LIVE for Christ.
Radically distinctive lives
in every mile of our metropolis
that showcase something of our Saviour.
Who PRAY for the lost.
Urgently. Relentlessly.
Church families on their knees pleading for God to do a miracle in opening blind eyes.
Prayer meetings. Prayer breakfasts. Prayer weeks.
Praying in the pub, in the office, in the home, on the train. Soaking this secular city with our petitions,
Pleading that God will save many.
And who GO with the Gospel.
To every community and suburb and neighbourhood.
Planting and strengthening churches,
training gospel workers,
proclaiming Christ and him crucified – everywhere and anywhere.
We’re not the only ones, but we’re having a go –
To plant & strengthen churches that multitudes might be saved and have LIFE.
This is London.
We LIVE for Christ.
We PRAY for the lost.
We GO with the Gospel.
