TRAVEL

How do I get there?

By car: From London, Exit the M25 at junction 2 onto the A2 Canterbury. Continue on A2/M2 and exit at junction 7 then follow signs to Canterbury.

By train: The best train station for the University is Canterbury West but you can also take a train to Canterbury East. High speed trains run regularly from London St Pancras to Canterbury West. You can also travel from Charing Cross, Waterloo East or London Bridge to Canterbury West (about 90 mins) or London Victoria to Canterbury East. The University is just a short bus or taxi ride direct from Canterbury East and Canterbury West railway stations.

By bus from Canterbury: There is a regular bus service to the University from both the train and central bus stations. Tickets can be bought on board the bus. The Unibus, and the Triangle bus 4X to Whitstable, stop at the University. There is a bus stop on the Campus at Park Wood which is marked on the campus map and is the closest to the main sports field.

By taxi: A taxi from Canterbury station will cost approximately £10. If you are coming by taxi from the station then ask to be dropped off at the University of Kent, Sports Pavilion (near Park Wood).

By coach: National Express runs a regular service from London Victoria coach station to Canterbury bus station.

Parking

There is parking available near your accommodation. Parking on the field is reserved disabled spaces only. Please email REVIVE@co-mission.org if you want us to reserve a disabled parking space for you.

During the weekend, once you have dropped your belongings off at the accommodation, you need to find a marked bay to park in. If there are no more spaces by your accommodation, there is plenty of parking available at the Oaks Nursery (a short walk from the accommodation).

What do I do on arrival?

Registration will be on the main field by the Sports Pavilion. On arrival drive into the Sports Pavilion car park and you will be directed from here to receive your information pack and accommodation key.

I will be arriving late on Friday. What time does registration close?

Registration will close at 10pm on Friday. If you will be arriving later than this, please arrange for one friend to collect your keys for you, or your keys will be given to your REVIVE Rep.

Is there a site map?

There is a Site Map in the booklet.

Yes! We want to make sure everyone can join us at REVIVE. Select the Supported Ticket option on the REVIVE website to arrange with your church access to the Co-Mission REVIVE fund to help with the cost of the tickets.

Do I qualify for a concession ticket?

Concession tickets are available for:

  • Full-time / part-time Students
  • Those in receipt of Unemployment Benefit
  • Self-selecting for those who feel they are in a circumstance where they would be helped by this price

The day passes do not include any main meals but do include the tea/coffee breaks.

When do I collect my tickets for REVIVE?

When you arrive on site you will be issued a wristband which will give you access to the programme for the days that you have booked to attend. It is very important to wear this at all times for security reasons.

Am I free to come and go during the weekend?

Yes, you will be issued with a REVIVE wristband, so you may come and go as you choose.

How do I cancel my booking?

If you need to cancel your booking for any reason, please get in touch with us at REVIVE@co-mission.org and our team will be able to help you.

Ticket cancellations must be made in writing and sent to REVIVE@co-mission.org. Full refunds will be offered for cancellations made up until the weekend ticket booking deadline (midnight on 27th May 2025).

After the weekend ticket bookings close (midnight on 27th May 2025), we are unfortunately not able to offer any ticket refunds but you can transfer your ticket to another person. Please email REVIVE@co-mission.org if you wish to do so.

Due to legal ratios, we are unable to swap Adult tickets with a Child/Youth or swap any Child/Youth tickets. At this stage they have already been placed in an age group and we have assigned all Team REVIVE according to the size of the groups.

Can I bring my pet?

Unfortunately we do not allow any pets on site at REVIVE, with the exception of registered assistance dogs for people with disabilities. Please contact REVIVE@co-mission.org should you require this.

As a REVIVE Supporter, where does my donation go?

Thank you so much for generously donating money to REVIVE. By becoming a REVIVE supporter, you can choose where your donation goes. You can donate money to your own church family, which will be used to pay for the Supported Tickets bought by your church family members. You can also donate money to the General REVIVE Support Fund. This money is used to pay for Supported Tickets and to ensure we can continue to discount our Kids, Youth and Concession tickets.

ACCOMMODATION

What is the accommodation like?

Accommodation is in the student accommodation within the Park Wood College and Keynes College. Images of the accommodation are listed on their website. Standard accommodation is in a house with shared facilities (5 or 6 bedrooms). Each has a shared kitchen/dining area and showers (there are no baths). Towels are not provided.

Bed linen is provided but if you have children sharing rooms they need to bring a mattress or travel cot and bedding as each room has one single bed (or a double bed in the flats). The kitchen only has basic equipment and crockery. There are bedrooms with disabled access and facilities available.

How is the accommodation allocated?

You will be allocated accommodation in areas together with your church. Your Church REVIVE Rep will allocate who is sharing with who. If you have any questions about this, please speak to your Church REVIVE Rep.

Please note for kids and youth, this is shared accommodation. Kids and youth will be allocated to share a room with another child of similar age within the same church or a sibling. These allocations are managed by your Church REVIVE Rep.

Why do children have to share a room?

In order to give you the best priced tickets, each child and youth ticket includes shared room accommodation. In general your child/teenager will be allocated a room to share with another child/teenager from your family or church. Each room only has one single bed (or a double bed in the flats), so please arrange to bring an extra mattress and bedding. However we understand that babies will need to sleep with a parent, so those aged 0-2 will be allocated a shared room with a parent.

Can I camp/bring my caravan?

Unfortunately, we do not offer these options for accommodation.

What if I choose to stay off site?

If guests choose to stay off site then they need to book online and select the necessary day passes. Guests are responsible for finding and booking their own accommodation.

Can I request an en-suite room?

Unfortunately we allocate the accommodation based on the different sizes of the churches and in a way that ensures that each church is allocated accommodation close together. Therefore we cannot guarantee any particular accommodation blocks. We try our best to move churches around so that if you were in a block further away in 2024, we will do our very best to put you closer to the field in 2025.

Can I use the university sports facilities during the weekend?

The university has excellent sports facilities which will be available to use over the weekend. If you would like to use the gym or tennis courts in the sports centre then you can arrange a temporary membership at the Sports Centre reception and then pay for any facilities you want to use.

FOOD

What food is available with the tickets?

Most churches arrange to eat together on Friday and Saturday evenings before the evening celebrations. Speak to your Church REVIVE Rep to understand what they are planning for the Friday evening and the Saturday evening.

Breakfast is not provided and packed lunches can be purchased when you purchase your ticket.

What are the food options available/can I buy food onsite?

Yes, there are options on site for food and drink.

Please do feel free to bring your own food from home. There is a kitchen in each accommodation block with basic equipment provided.

Packed lunches are available to purchase when buying tickets online.

There are a couple of shops on site. The Park Wood Co-Op sells basic food, newspapers etc. and is open

Monday to Friday: 8am to 8pm

Saturday to Sunday: 9am to 5pm

It is located within the accommodation area.

On the field, the University caterers will be selling hot food and the REVIVE Cafe (run by Neighbourhood Coffee Roasters) will be serving hot drinks and refreshments throughout the weekend

Can special diets be catered for?

Yes of course! Please let us know your requirements when you book and these will be provided for by the University.

KIDS/YOUTH

How do I register my child for the children’s programmes?

Please register your children/young people online.

The deadline for getting a place in the children’s or youth programme is 27th May 2025.

Can I move my child to a different group?

Please speak to your Church Rep or contact us directly at REVIVE@co-mission.org to discuss options if you would like your child to be in a different programme to the one for their age group. We will review these on a case by case basis, and under advice from our Kids and Youth programme lead will make a decision. We do not promise to move your child, but will aim to do our best to ensure they are able to have the best time possible at REVIVE.

Please contact us as soon as possible if you would like to discuss this.

What if my child has a disability/special learning needs?

We’re delighted to welcome children and youth with additional needs to our programmes. We will do our best to provide the support for their needs from the resources that we have available. Please give as much detail as possible on your children’s registration form online. Our SEND Coordinator will then contact you to make the necessary provisions to look after your child in the best way possible whilst at REVIVE.

Please take a look at the SEND section of our website (under Kids and Youth) to find out the provision available at REVIVE.

ACCESSIBILITY / DISABILITY

Reserved parking is available on site for people with disabilities. We have wheelchair access to the main tents and a route whereby guests with access needs can be dropped off at the Big Top so they do not need to walk from their accommodation. Please note, this event is held in a field. If you require disabled parking or have accessibility related queries please email REVIVE@co-mission.org.

On booking, please fill in the Access Needs question to ensure we can quickly get in touch with you to discuss your access needs at REVIVE.

Are there easily accessible toilets?

Portable toilets will also be located outside the Big Top and these will include ‘Easy Access’ toilets. Toilets are also located in the Sports Pavilion on the edge of the main field, including a disabled toilet.

Are there accessible bedrooms?

There are fully accessible bedrooms available within the Park Wood and Keynes College flats which we will allocate to those who indicate that they need one.

Is there translation available?

There will be a live link for translation (transcription to individuals phones) for the Big Top sessions. Simply scan the code in the booklet to access and choose your language.
