Give thanks:

– A church family growing in love and healthy patterns, 4 months after we merged the Bridge and Shaftesbury together

– 4 new babies born in recent months. Give thanks for Freddie, Eli, Eva and Zaliyah!

– Yusi – a fairly new believer – establishing a women’s online bible study. The sisters were hungry for more of God’s word – pray he blesses them as they go through John together

– A new Friday lunchtime prayer meeting that has sprung up with a few passionate prayer warriors attending. 

Pray for:

– Our Missional Communities (midweek groups on mission together) who are having a ‘month of mission in May’. Groups will be doorknocking, walk-up evangelism on the street, hosting picnics and BBQs, etc. Pray the Lord equips harvest workers, and uses this to save some!

– Mums of kids who we are interacting with, largely coming through RISE youth group and Mischief afterschool club. Mainly single mums, often very unchurched, with lots of anger and brokenness in lives. But a decent number now feel very involved with our church family, and are very pro-New Life (without yet being pro-Jesus!). Please pray for wisdom in reaching them for Christ, and their conversions. 

– Wisdom as we continue to see the dust settling on our recent merge. We need lots of discernment with new processes and systems!

– REVIVE – with lots coming for the first time!

– Special upcoming services. Including Laila’s baptism service – give thanks for the conversion of this 18yo local, and pray her not-yet-believing family are won for Christ too. And our ‘Pro-Life Sunday’ in June, as we seek to compassionately contend for life in the womb.
